"Grown in Puerto Rico" is not the same as "Made in Puerto Rico"

100% of our Café Catalina's coffee beans are grown in the mountains of Jayuya, Puerto Rico. It took four years for the island to recover from the devastation after Hurricane María. Most of the coffee plants were swept away by the hurricane, leaving the island with no other choice than to import coffee beans from other countries. The distribution of the imported coffee beans to the coffee farm owners is controlled by the government. The local coffee beans are mixed with the imported ones to satisfy demand. Coffee brands that use only 35% coffee beans cultivated in our island can state that they are "Made in Puerto Rico". We proud ourselves that our CAFE CATALINA's  beans are totally grown in Puerto Rican soil. Taste the difference!!
